The Winona State soccer team got its 2010 season underway in Michigan, falling 1-0 to Grand Valley State. The Lakers scored in the 65th minute, a goal by Erin Mruz in a game played in 35 mile per hour winds.
Coach Omar had the following comments about the game.
“Grand Valley State was fast and big, but we were able to do everything we wanted to do,” Omar said. “I hate losing, but when the game is over you have to find some positives and the positive is we just have to tweak a couple things before our next game.”
